Dear Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association Members,

Due to the recent leadership transition, the Executive Council is seeking to immediately fill the vacancy created by the transition. As per the TBSAA Constitution, the Executive Council will be appointing members of the Association to fill this position and serve a term that ends at the National Convention in 2027. The Executive Council is now accepting applications to fill this vacancy.

The TBSAA Executive Council serves as the governing body of the Association, its members, and its constituent local alumni associations.  Further, members of the Executive Council advance the mission of the TBSAA and represent alumni interests at district and national conventions.

Members interested in serving on the TBSAA Executive Council must meet the following qualifications:

  • A current TBSAA member in good standing

  • Hold a 4-year college degree

  • At least 25 years of age

  • Life Member of the Sorority

  • Demonstrate outstanding business skills

Those appointed to the Executive Council are expected to attend monthly conference calls, attend periodic events such as meetings with the Sorority national leadership and district conventions, and are expected to attend the 2025 and 2027 National Conventions. Additionally, an Executive Council member may not simultaneously hold another LAA, district or national leadership position for either Tau Beta Sigma or Kappa Kappa Psi.

If you would like to be considered for appointment to the TBSAA Executive Council, please submit the following to tbsaa@tbsigma.org, no later than Sunday, February 9, 2025.

  • A letter of interest including your ideas for the future of the organization

  • Résumé/Vita, inclusive of both Sorority and professional experiences.

  • Three letters of recommendation, one of which should be within the applicant’s profession.

Questions about serving on the Executive Council or the application process can be directed to Chairperson Thea Murphy at TBSAA-Chair@tbsigma.org.

Thank you for your continued support for the Sorority and the TBSAA.

In the Bond,

Dr. Thea Murphy
